In the near future, it is expected that a lot of Android and WebOS tablets will make its way in the market. This will take some market shares of the iPad which is enjoying its status with no competitor at all. One of these soon to be released tablets is the Velocity Cruz Tablet. There is not much information released about this gadget but with its upcoming release which is expected to happen in the month of August or early September, some details are starting to unveil.
The Velocity Cruz tablet is expected to run Google’s Android OS. It will be released by Velocity Micro which is best known for its high-end gaming PCs. Having this reputation gives us an idea that this tablet will be a great choice for consumers out there.
The Velocity Cruz tablet is believed to be a full pledged Android tablet which comes with a complete support for various applications such as games, web browsing and other tablet-like activities that we can enjoy.
The Velocity Cruz tablet looks essentially like the iPad but is offered at a lower price of $299. It sports a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen which is smaller than Apple’s iPad that has a 9.7-inch screen. It also comes with a 4GB internal storage capacity which is expandable via an 8GB microSD card.

With these features, it looks like the Velocity Cruz tablet is a more affordable version of the Apple’s iPad. Some people who might want to have the iPad but with some budget constraints may resort in buying the Velocity Cruz Tablet instead.
As of this date, details on its processor is not yet clear since it has not yet reached its production process. Velocity Micro might still be in the process of choosing which processor will be best for this tablet device.
At this point we’ll just have to wait for a more complete list of this upcoming device from Velocity Micro. Will the Velocity Cruz tablet be able to compete with Apple’s iPad? Let’s just wait and see, after all it will only take around 6 weeks before the expected launching of this device.
