Sure, we are slightly impressed with the Velocity Micro Cruz 7 inch tablet first previewed on the first quarter of this year featuring a set of specifications making it a mediocre tablet under a budgeted price. Obviously, this is not the type of tablet you wouldn’t want to show-off when you are on a conference hall filled with people who are using iPad or Galaxy Tab under a round table. Needless to say, some may find the curiosity to ask what will be the next update for this device?

As of today, it appears a new Micro Cruz Tablet has just appeared out from nowhere catering a 7-inch form factor like its older brother running Android 2.0 (sadly). Pundits called it as the Cruz T301 whereas it will be using a capacitive screen with 4:3 aspect ratio and 800 x 600 resolution. It will be packing a 256 MB RAM (still smaller than its older brother sporting 512MB memory). Apart from that, it will have its usual specifications like Bluetooth / WiFi support and a replaceable Li-On battery in which it was claimed to run under 10 hours and 24 hours on standby mode.
The interesting part of this one is the price tag at 249 bucks only, which is pretty alluring because if this T301 device will happened to come out as an e-reader, it will be beautiful but as a tablet – we’ll be looking at Medusas’s face hoping you won’t turn into a stone!
