There are more brands in the tablet market than Apple, Samsung, Asus and HP, you just don’t know the others because they’re not the companies you tend to look to for high-end gadgets. However, that doesn’t mean they aren’t around. In fact, some of them offer decent specs for people who cant spend too much on a single gadget. One of these companies is called Velocity Micro, and it’s reserved a booth for two new tablets of its Cruz line at the CES 2012. They’re called the Cruz T507, and T510.

Here’s a list of known specs for each tablet for easier viewing:
Cruz T507:
- 7-inch (800 x 400 resolution) touchscreen display
- Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS
- 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor
- 512MB DDR3 RAM
- 8GB storage
- VGA front-facing camera
- HDMI port
- access to Amazon appstore
Cruz T510:
- 9.7-inch (1024 x 768 resolution) touchscreen display
- Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
- HDMI port
- 8GB storage
- 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor
- VGA rear and front-facing cameras
- Access to Amazon appstore instead of Android Market
Both the Velocity Micro Cruz T507 and T510 are very similar, but side-by-side, it’s easy to differentiate on tablet from the other. However, the differences seem to end with the size of the tablets and the number of cameras on each. Hopefully Velocity Micro has more about these tablets aside from the size and camera factors, otherwise buyers may be more inclined to go for the cheaper of the two.
Speaking of price, the T507 is expected to retail for $150, but the T510′s price is still up in the air. Velocity Micro hints that it wont be higher than $250, but the exact amount is yet to be determined when both tablets come out in the first quarter of this year.
