At this point, it’s not really a question of will Apple be revealing an iPhone 4 LTE devices for this year? but rather, “when” and “how”. You see, it has already been told by Verizon’s CEO before that customers should expect a Verizon iPhone LTE device soon. For those who are wondering why it was not implemented last February 10 (first Verizon iPhone 4 launch), it’s because adding an LTE upgrade would require another hardware change; thus, it wouldn’t be possible given the strict time-frame of the release of the Verizon iPhone 4.
In addition to that, Reuters added some nice pieces of bits on the story. Coming from an unidentified Verizon executive, Red V will be replacing its unlimited mobile data plan with a “usage-based” pricing and it will arrive on middle of this summer.
If you are keen with the time-frame, you should know that summer on USA would land on June which is the predicted 12-month cycle launch of the next iPhone (iphone 5). That being said, it’s obvious that not only we’ll be hearing about an iPhone 4 LTE device this year but also an iPhone 5 LTE ready smartphone!
The next question will be, is this new pricing plan comes for the benefit on the consumer side or not? Obviously, the last thing any users would want is to see Red V falling out from grace just like AT&T.
