Back at those times when Verizon and Apple is about to announce the first ever Verizon iPhone 4, one of the biggest question, aside from its price details, is why in the world this one doesn’t have a LTE capability? For those who are bewildered with the term, LTE is the closest CDMA type of network you can have compared to 4G of GSM devices like on AT&T and usually, LTE is even dubbed as 4G — although this one is still debatable.
The main reason for this 4G LTE “deficiency” is because of the hardware changes that need to be put on the iPhone 4, which is quite impossible, since the company already launched this one as early as February. Meanwhile, Verizon assures to its customer that it will come in the near future.

As of today, Dan Mead (CEO, Verizon Wireless) re-confirms this statement. In fact, he states that customer “should be seeing more Apple devices on LTE”. While Mead didn’t specifically confirm what type of products / models he’s pointing about, it’s clear that it would be the iPhone 4 and there’s a big chance that Verizon iPhone 5 may be announced on the same year, when Apple’s annual WWDC event arrives this June.
Currently, everything is still on a “rumor” stage but I can’t say this one isn’t bound to happen “soon”.
