Another day, another rumor-mill about Apple and this is something that we are a bit surprised to hear coming from ripten. So apparently, an insider from Verizon manage to leak a news about Verizon going to reveal an ‘iconic smartphone’ on November 9 and it will be a type of mobile device which is on high-demand and people can order it directly in Red V’s shop after.
As much as we want to believe this statement, that word iconic could meant so many things (Like Droid Pro, Droid 2 Global, etc). Previously, we have covered more than enough evidence that the real Verizon iPhone 4 won’t be revealed until 2011 and it was confirmed by its CEO. It’s highly absurd for Apple to reveal such device this late part of the year. The closest Apple event that we are expecting is on November 8 which is the unveiling of the Apple iOS 4.2, although we are still crossing our fingers if Steve would just reveal it just on the Apple website rather than taking extra effort to make it as a formal tech-gathering.
As for the CDMA phone, the real reason why it’s becoming a unicorn-device and creating so much tension for the iPhone community is because of the fact that should Verizon and Apple manage to partner on releasing a Verizon iPhone – For the first time in the 3 years of history of consumers, they will have the opportunity to pick another carrier aside from AT&T in USA. And that’s good news!
