The battle is on! It’s iPhone vs Motorola Droid.
Earlier, Verizon wireless launched a marketing campaign for the Motorola Droid mobile phone. The ad campaign entitled “DROIDDOES” blatantly attacked some of iphone’s shortcomings.
-
iDon’t have a real keyboard.
-
iDon’t run simultaneous apps.
-
iDon’t take 5-megapixel pictures.
-
iDon’t customize.
-
iDon’t run widgets.
-
iDon’t allow open development.
-
iDon’t take pictures in the dark.
-
iDon’t have interchangeable batteries.
The iDon’t video frankly was hilarious and a good punch to Apple if you ask us. Checkout the DROIDDOES video to hear the interesting sound too!
Boy Genius Report spilled the specification report of the upcoming Motorola Droid mobile phone. In our opinion, it doesn’t look special (compare with iPhone). Perhaps, the only edge Droid has over iPhone would be on its features/specifications. We listed the complete specification of this phone on another post.
See the complete Droid datasheet on our post Will Motorola Droid Phone kill iPhone?
We should wait for future updates on this handset to know if it’s eligible to become iPhone’s archrival. Until then, we rest our case.
October 28, 2009 Update: WOW, it seems some Apple-fans backfired with a new anti-droiddoes commercial, and created a fairly-sarcastic yet hilarious video, ridiculing the new motorola droid. It’s entitled “iDon’t Care”. I am sure Apple fans will adore this new video, the next obvious question will be, “What’s the retort of Droid-fanatics ?”.
The plot thickens with the two!
