For all you eager children of Motorola, wondering what would be the full pricing details and data plan charges for the Motorola Xoom tablet, it appears its primary carrier, Verizon, has finally speak out!
Coming fresh from its PR statement, you should know that the Verizon Motorola Xoom will be available for the price of 600 USD w/ a new 2-year contract and 800 USD without any contract under Red V. Its Wireless 3G data-plan will start at 20 USD / Month for 1GB access whereas you will have the opportunity to upgrade this one to receive Red V’s blazingly fast network (4G LTE) in the second quarter of 2011 – which should be on April. This upgrade will cost you free of charge!
For those pundits who have already computed the slash on your wallet hiding on these tame-looking data plans, you should know that if you took the least 3G plan (20USD / month 1GB) and the 600 USD w/ 2-year contract agreement, you’ll be paying 1080 USD when you reached two years just to own this tablet.
Later on, Verizon reveals that if you want a bigger data plan, the price for 3GB would be 35 USD / month; 50 USD / month for 5GB and a hefty 80 USD for the 10GB. Take note that this just for the 3G plan, how about when it’s the LTE plan already?
Here’s to say that you need to have a proper monthly income or a rich kid to support the cost of this precious tablet, especially if you are an addict to video-streaming or watching movies online.
