You know the CES event is about to end when the blogosphere are all reporting about mid-end type of devices on its last days of the week, and that my friends is the same exact fate of this Viewsonic device being featured today.
Check out its picture.

If you haven’t looked at the title of this post, you’ll automatically think this device is a smartphone of some kind but heck! The company calls this one as a tablet and in fact, it would be under its Viewpad series calling it officially as Viewsonic Viewpad 4. Call me bitter, but I think the ultimatum size for the smallest tablet display should be at least 5 like the Dell Streak, but going even below on that point is exactly absurd and will defeat the purpose of the aesthetic beauty of a tablet – if ever there was one.
Anyway, just to give some sympathy for this ‘tablet’. It would be under a 4.1-inch display (800 x 480 resolution), with 5MP rear facing camera capable of recording full 720p HD videos, has a front-facing imager, 1GHz Qualcomm MSM 8255 processor, 2GB ROM / 1GB RAM, WiFi/ Bluetooth/ aGPS. As for its features, it would be supporting Android 2.2 (Froyo) for its platform and coming from the impressions we’ve received, it performs snappy upon browsing and opening some Android apps.
If you are interested, you can get this one on June which is rumored to be revealed with a Froyo stock were its price is still concealed. Anyway, it could be great if they just call it a smartphone don’t ya think?
