Viewsonic has been a respected company that has been known for making modest and yet reputable monitors. And apparently, this company will be launching its newest 7-inch tablet called ViewPad. The ViewPad is believed to be the world’s first 7 inch Android 2.2 tablet that will feature multi-tasking capabilities, phone functionality, a front VGA camera and 3 MP back-facing camera as well.
This device is very ideal for people looking for a mobile device that will keep them connected at all times via e-mail and video and at the same time enjoy other applications as well. The ViewPad 7 supports basic phone functions such as instant messaging, text and MMS messaging, VOIP and standard voice calls as well. It also comes with the G-sensor that re-orients the screen depending on the way it was held and allows access to the Google Android App Store which has more than 100,000 applications to choose from.
Aside from these features, the ViewPad 7 also comes with the following specs and additional features:

It looks like the iPad will be seeing some tough competitor since a lot of manufacturers are currently working with their own tablet version. In fact, we’ve heard several leaks regarding upcoming tablet devices in the future. Now that the Viewsonic is about to launch its own version called the ViewPad 7, it is most likely expected that this device will be trying to capture the attention of potential tablet buyers and if they do, this might take some of the market shares being totally dominated by Apple’s iPad.
The ViewPad is expected to be officially announced in the upcoming IFA event that will be held in Berlin this month. This tablet is estimated to carry a price of not more than £350 and expected to hit the UK by October however, its US release is expected to happen before the year ends.
