Boo yah touch down! If you are wondering for years on how the heck will you manage to play .avi, .mpg, .flv, .wmv and tons of other video codecs on your iDevice then this news about VLC will certainly strike a glee towards your face; as the company finally revealed the official download of this app on the Apple app store for iPhone 4, 3GS/3G and iPod Touch for Free!

We have already previewed this one on the iPad, and just what we predicted, it will also be available towards the iPhone and iPod Touches provided that at least you have an OS version of 3.2.
So far, all the reviews and feedbacks we are seeing are all good and it appears the users can play almost anything now on their iDevices (Hopefully even .FLV) Take note, since this is available on the App store, there’s no need for you to jailbreak your device first should you want to download it, contrary to the earlier perception.
It may not appear important for some but if you are an Android user, and you’re wondering why VLC isn’t yet available on the green market, don’t worry, there’s a VPlayer for that and it works almost like the orange apple-based player application.
