FCC database has tons of information about the latest gadgetry around. Take for example Wacom’s newest Cintiq 24HD peripheral which sports a 24-inch HD (1920 x 1200) display panel coupled with a stand that allows customization of viewing angles.

The display has a brightness of 190 nits and Adobe RGB color saturation at 92 percent. With FCC’s approval already had, the graphics tablet is now on the loose offering such features as a 60-degree tilt sensor to boast 2048 pressure sensor levels, a contrast ratio of 550:1 and a 13ms response time. While the foregoing data still needs Wacom’s corroboration, Cintiq 24HD’s similarity to Cintiq 21UX is undeniable except for the HD feature. The tablet is expected to generate interest among art schools with drawing courses.
The product’s technical descriptions follow: dimension at 30.28 x 18.26 x 2.52 inches (without stand); 30.2 pounds (13.7 kg) in weight; 71W maximum power and 2W in sleep mode; 0.270×0.270mm pixel pitch; 16:10 aspect ratio; 2.6mm parallax; viewing angle at 89/89/89/89; a-Si TFT active matrix LCD (h-IPS); Brightness: 190cd/m2; and DVI-I with HDCP + DisplayPort, Analog RGB.
The tablet/screen hybrid is a graphics tablet that allows users to draw directly “on” the display surface. This feature makes it ideal for projects involving drawing. Its pressure sensitivity level and resolution are higher than ordinary Tablet PCs which offers similar feature on their built-in screen. Price and release date for the Cintiq 24HD are still unknown.
