In the course of time, society would eventually refer or go back to the basics to learn from the simplest way of doing things. Such thought may apply to what Wacom did it with its new Inkling digital pen.

According to Wacom, the pen is designed for rough “concepting” and “brainstorming.” The Inkling digital pen serves as the medium for transferring the artists work to the computer (whether PC or Mac). It works very simple, when the pen is used to make sketches or drawings on paper or sketchbook; it is able to create layers of digital files of these. Right after, this is sent to the computer courtesy of a USB connected receiver and through the Inkling Sketch Manager software.
Having a digital file of sketches comes in handy as this enable user (artist) to go back to his/her concepts and thus saving time and effort (there’s also a sustainable view on this as we are able to save lots of paper). One more thing, files that are saved can be in different formats – JPG, BMP, PNG, PDF, etc.
Artists may very well benefit from using the Inkling digital pen as it would help in the overall creative or thought process with respect to drawings. Pricing is at $199 with availability said to be by mid-September.
