Have you been waiting for the white model of the Apple’s iPhone 4? Well, it seems that you’ll have to wait a little longer. If you could remember Apple has released a statement back in June stating that the white iPhone 4 will not be available until the 2nd half of July because of some manufacturing challenges it encounters.
Apple did not elaborate any further what these manufacturing challenges are. And just recently Apple have released another statement saying that the white model of the new iPhone 4 will not be available until later in 2010! All because of the same reason which is “manufacturing challenges”.
These “manufacturing challenges” sounds a little intriguing. Does it really have something to do with its white color? Some analysts as well as would-be consumers assumed that these manufacturing challenges have something to do with the iPhone 4’s reception problem. Apple might be doing some adjustments on the white model already to resolve its infamous antenna glitch. On the other hand, this may or may not be the real reason for the delay.
The Apple iPhone 4’s black model was made available for pre-order starting last June 15. Soon after it, many have already expected that the white model will also be available by June 24, but the problems encountered by Apple during its manufacturing stage prevented them from releasing the white model of the iPhone 4.
Apple has also cleared that despite this delay in the release of the white model; the black model of the iPhone 4 has enough supply and is not affected by this problem. If you wanted to have the iPhone and can’t wait for the white model then you may opt to purchase the black one which appears to be more popular than the white one. But this we still have to see once the white model has been released later this year. Those who really prefer the white one, well, you just have to wait a little longer until later this year.
At this point, where a lot have been patiently waiting for the release of the white model of iPhone 4, Apple must come clean and explain what really causes its delay as well as its exact release date. The longer it takes them to release the said model, the more speculations arise as to the real reason behind this delay.
Well, let’s just hope that Apple will really come with something really good upon the much-awaited release of the white iPhone 4 model. It must be something that’s really worth waiting for. We’ll never know, the white one may turn out to be technically improved than the original.
