The Wikipad gaming tablet has undergone a lot of changes over the course of its inception. People have been speculating about what the gaming tablet will include. Apparently, after a lot of tweaks, the tablet’s hardware is finally as it is.

Looking closely at its technical attributes the updated gaming tablet will have a brilliant 10.1-inch IPS display (but only 2D screen instead of the previously mentioned 3D display) with 1290 x 800 resolution. Of course, it will don the latest Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS to provide gamers with faster and smoother platform. Other specs include a quad-core Tegra 3 T30 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz, 1GB RAM, 16GB flash memory, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera and about 6-hours of battery life (gaming) and around 8 hours for continuous video playback. It weighs just 560 grams and measures 8.6mm thick.
In addition, the Wikipad tablet is capable of cloud gaming via Gaikai and will come with a Xbox 360-like controller add-on consisting of 2 sets of triggers, analog sticks, start/select buttons, bumpers, face buttons, front grill speaker and a rear power port.
They have yet to say how much we need to cash out in order to get our hands on the device. The company has promised to announce the release date of the Wikipad soon. We’ll keep you posted.
