After the successful launching of the Windows 7 platform, Microsoft is now set to bring a new one and apparently, it will be the all-new Windows 8 OS. According to a blog posted in a Dutch website, Microsoft is currently working on the next version of Windows. However, this new OS will not be around soon since it is still under development. As rumored, this new operating system might hit the market two years from now.

Microsoft seems to have a trend when it comes to releasing a new operating system. Usually a new comes two to three years after the released of its existing operating system. In fact, Windows 7 was released last year and this is approximately two and a half years after the released of the Windows Vista operating system. So we may expect the Windows 8 platform by early next year.
According to a very reliable source, the next generation of the Windows will include a Windows app store just like what Apple has unveiled for its Mac OS recently. It will also enable log-ins using a special facial recognition system as well as faster boot-up times.
There is also a presentation that leaked last June pointing to the next version of Windows. Based on this presentation, Microsoft has expressed its plan to improve several aspects in the next version of its Windows OS. It basically includes improving startup times from the time it resumes from sleeping mode as well as the improvement of its power efficiency. Microsoft also intends to work closely with various computer manufacturers in order to have a better idea on how their new operating system could make a difference to these computers.
But lately, Microsoft has changed the Dutch site that features details about the upcoming Windows 8 OS and revealed some details about the first service pack to Windows 7 as well as give details about the recently launched Windows Live Essentials instead. Well, this may only mean that it will take Microsoft a little longer before it can finally release the next version of the Windows platform. So watch out for more details.
