Just like any smartphone updates of our time, it’s subjected to several uncertainties no matter how it looks official when being reported on the blogosphere. And that twisted fact applies to Apple, Android and even to Windows Phone 7; as a trusty insider claims the next update for Windows Phone 7 platform which is the “Mango” may have a delayed release date later than this year!

But before we get into that, you should know that Microsoft has only revealed one major update for WP7, and that is, the NoDo update which finally brought the ‘copy and paste’ for all WP7 devices. At that time, we managed to report earlier that a Mango update would be available on Q2 of this year supporting some amazing features like Twitter integration, IE9 and real-multitasking capabilities but alas! It appears everything will be stalled in the eyes of Paul Thurrott, a trusty Microsoft insider.
In fact, Thurott even believes that this Mango update would be delayed to a point that it will only be revealed on 2012 – ouch for that! But then again, we keep our fingers closed, because Microsoft can’t afford to give in with such delays since its new partner, Nokia, wouldn’t certainly like this news for the transition of its new WP7 devices.
By the way, there’s also this looming report about the Apollo update which would come out as the Windows Phone 8 landing this year as well. If Thurott’s premonition are all correct, we may say goodbye to this rumor-mill as well until the end of this year – twice ouch for that!
