Windows Phone 7 MarketPlace: New App Store Visited

Posted on 18 March 2010 by pinoytutorial

Microsoft Phone Marketplace is where you can buy applications for your Windows Phone 7. This was introduced at the Mix conference 2010. Of course, Microsoft will compete with other application stores and make their own. Microsoft Phone Marketplace is in fact easy to use unlike the Apple application store. Based on some demo videos, it is very accessible and hassle free. But there is something that is alike between Apple and Microsoft.

We all know that Apple is the only source that sells applications for the iPhone and rumors has it that they will do the same thing with their new product iPad. Microsoft seems to like that strategy and they choose to follow that marketing style. Microsoft will be the exclusive provider of the applications for the upcoming Windows Phone 7 series products. The Windows Phone 7 is rumored to be release this end of the year. Logically analyzing Windows Phone Marketplace would possibly be released on the same time with the phone series.

The best thing about this marketplace is it gives a trial period for the applications you are interested with. So you can actually test the application before deciding whether you will buy it or not. If ever your trial period is finish then you decide to buy it, you simply don’t have to do a lot of stuff like uninstalling or re-download the product so you can enjoy using your chosen application.

It will automatically unlock. All you need to do is tap the word buy then you can use it again. There is no additional fee for updates of the application you bought and also it is free to download it in your phone. When you buy an application it will be linked to your windows live accounts. Users can simply uninstall applications that they have already purchased and re-download it for free in another device.

This marketplace will only take one-time credit card payments. If you will keenly study this action from Microsoft, you will resort to an answer that they are just being competitive. Being one of the best in the industry I perfectly dig this. Even some people thinks that this was a nice move for not all people are concentrating in just one product.
