You gotta love a newly christened mobile platform when it’s on the early stage of inviting app developers to gather much of its needed core-applications for its mobile devices. Probably, you can still remember those good ole sweet days of the Apple app store last 2008, when the Cupertino-based company seems to be very generous on accepting Apps – Alas! the case was different today. So far, Microsoft is now starting to invite any developers worldwide to submit their Apps for the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace, and it seems the developers are loving it!

Coming from the developer’s side, it appears the process of approving your apps is very fast, in some cases it only takes 2-3 days for your application to get pass through. All screenshots (up to eight) are visible at the same time when you view the marketplace, so it won’t be cumbersome for users to check each one. There’s also an App tester plus a PDF guide to help the developers get their app approved immediately.
So far if you want to be a WP7 App developer, you should understand that Microsoft is looking for these criterias: App hub account, contact information, valid app title, clear app description, Art (the thumbnail extracted from your app towards the WP7 marketplace), your app should be in .XAP file, exact App price and its proper category.
If you want to join the WP7 Marketplace as a budding developer, you can now create your account here.
