Xbox 360 & Kinect Black Friday 2012: Best Deals With Cheapest Price Matchup For Games

Posted on 12 November 2012 by author

As of now, 70% of all major retailers in U.S have already posted their doorbuster deals; likewise, you can already smell the Black Friday fever creeping from your local retailer. And we’re roughly down to nine full days only!

For buyers looking for the best deals on Xbox 360, Kinect and video games, browsing through all the flyers could be quite intimidating – just numbers here and there with a dollar sign from the left; hence, we create this little Black Friday guide for humans so you’ll know what particular retailer will sell the best Xbox 360 bundles during Thanksgiving. Take note, our list was taken down from 10 retailers (e.g: AAFES, Best Buy, Kmart, RadioShack, Sam’s Club, Sears, Shopko, Target, Toys R Us and Walmart). Enjoy!

Best $199 Deal

Best Buy: Xbox 360 Holiday Bundle with 250GB Console, Skyrim + Forza Motorsport 4, Wireless Headset, Wireless Controller at $199.99

Sam’s Club: Xbox 360 Bundle With 4GB Console, Kinect Sensor, Disneyland Adventure + Kinect Adventure games, Wireless Controller and 1-month Xbox Live Membership at $199.

Target: Xbox 360 Bundle with 4GB Console, Kinect Sensor, Kinect Adventures + Disneyland game, wireless controller and 1 month Xbox Live membership at $199.99

Shopko: Xbox 360 Bundle with 250GB Console & Wireless Controller at $199.99

Kmart: Xbox 360 Bundle With 4GB Console, Kinect Sensor at $199

Our Take: At $199, Best Buy is certainly the king with its 250GB console bundle complete with 2 free games, controllers even a free wireless headset! As the shop says, it’s a $408 bundle shrunk down to half of its original price. What more can you ask for?

Then of course, we have Sam’s Club and Target offering an identical set of deals which is the best bundle for Kinect with X360 at two benjamins only.

Meanwhile, the last remaining came from Kmart and Shopko. Their deals are average but could still be an eye-candy for those who have these shops near their area.

How About Less Than $170?

Walmart: Xbox Skylanders Bundle With 4GB Console, Wireless Controller & Skylander Bundle at $149

RadioShack: Xbox 360 Bundle With 4GB Console, Wireless Controller and Free Headset at $169.99

Our Take: Walmart is wise enough not to cut-throat Best Buy with its $199 super deal for X360. Instead, it pushed other deals like that Skylander bundle at $149. Meanwhile, we’re glad to see RadioShack offered some minty deals for Xbox 360 this year offering a complete package including a wireless controller and headset all at $170 only.

Above $200

Walmart: Xbox Dance Bundle With 4GB Console, Kinect Sensor, 2 Wireless Controllers & Kinect Disneyland + Kinect Adventures at $229

Sears: Xbox 360 Bundle With 4GB Console, Kinect Sensor at $219

Toys R Us: Xbox 360 Bundle with 4GB Console, Kinect sensor, Air Flo Controller & 50% off For 3 Month Xbox Live Membership at $249.99

Our Take: For those who want to spend a few more bucks on Black Friday, we’re telling you right now that it’ll be worth it.

If Best Buy was the king at $199, Walmart is god at $229 offering a complete package consisting of X360 console, Kinect, 2 free games and 2 controllers — a bundle that cost around $450 given to you for only half its original price.

Meanwhile, Sears offers a lukewarm approach of listing X360 + Kinect Sensor at $219 which is not the cheapest deal but better than its regular price. Finally, we have Toys R Us. Yeah, self-explanatory.

Thank you VERY much for this guide. I have been pulling my hair out trying to search the net, BFads, etc for the package that fits our needs best. I was going to get one of the $200 kinect bundles then get the best buy controller. but it looks like the Walmart deal makes the controller even cheaper(effectively $30), and that is the one I will get!

I am wondering why I see it show up as a $249 value bundle when I look at their flyer on the web site though. If that doesn’t change I’ll have to run to Best Buy for the controller and go to Sams/Target for the system. I hope you can answer this question. The Zip I used on Walmart.com and I live in is 89431.

      What’s up.

Actually, Walmart gave two types of flyers this year. The one from Wisconsin (which has the $249) is the one currently used by Walmart on its website.

Meanwhile, the $229 value is the one used by us, and other websites because it has the cheaper price. This is the one we expect to be used by Walmart retailers on Black Friday.

However, just to be sure, you can contact the Walmart shop where you plan on getting the item; hopefully, they’ll know its exact price.

Sensible comments/suggestions are always appreciated.
