It’s now official; Microsoft has already confirmed that they are coming with a new Xbox 360 controller. Apparently, this new Xbox 360 controller comes with an improved D-pad that has been especially designed to increase its usability. Likewise, Microsoft also confirmed that the D-pad has been enhanced to give players a more exciting and fun experience while playing their awesome games.

This new Xbox 360 controller as mentioned, comes with an improved D-pad that transforms from plus into a disc and offers a more accurate and precise control for both directional and sweeping movements. Aside from its usability features, this new controller also has a stylish design and comes with a special edition matte silver color, unique buttons and a Play and Charge kit to keep you going.

Basically, this new Xbox 360 controller offers the following features:

  • Easily convertible – its D-pad can be rotated to become accustomed with the user’s game play
  • Continuous game play – comes with a Play and Charge kit that offers up to 35 hours of playtime per charge
  • Wireless technology- powered by a 2.4 GHz wireless technology that functions within 30-foot range
  • Allows simultaneous usage – you can use up to 4 controllers at the same time on one console
  • Ultimate precision and control – use in “plus” format for cardinal directional moves and “disc” format for sweeping moves

This new Xbox 360 controller is only a limited edition offer and it will be available in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. This will be offered at a price of $64.99, which is already inclusive of the Play and Charge kit. This new controller is expected to penetrate the US market on November 9 and by February this new controller will be making its way to Europe.

It seems that this new Xbox 360 controller is a major upgrade that could replace the existing controllers in the market. However, this controller will only be a limited edition offer which will most likely upset some gaming enthusiasts out there who may feel that this Xbox 360 controller would be a better replacement to their old units. Given its new design, its enhanced D-pad seems to provide a more suitable way to play our favorite games. More information on the clip below.
