Gamers wouldn’t want to miss this interesting news! Sega, one of the world’s leading game publishers, has just announced the upcoming launch of its newly-formed Yakuza Studio. The said studio will be in charge for the development of a new Yakuza spin-off title that will be called ‘Yakuza Black Panther 2’. The game will be the official sequel to Yakuza Black Panther, a PSP-exclusive action-adventure.

Apparently, the game will be alternatively called as ‘Kurohyou 2 Ryu ga Gotoku’. No particular details about its storyline yet but, most likely, it would revolve around the character of a school drop-out named Tatsuya Ukyo. An interesting video trailer of the game was posted recently after its formal unveiling. Check it out.
Yakuza Black Panther 2 will be compatible with PSP handheld and will be launched in Japan on spring 2012. Curious gamers may come at the upcoming TGS event to try it out.
Meanwhile, Sega also announced the development of Yakuza 5, the sequel to the well-acclaimed Yakuza 4 game. Not much has been revealed about the game but from what we’ve heard, it will still be released as an exclusive PlayStation 3 title. Toshihiro Nagoshi, the game’s producer, also stated that there isn’t any possibility for Yakuza 5 to be ported into the Xbox 360 console. The price and release date of the game is yet to be known.
