Zeal Optics releases a new and innovative pair goggles called the iON, perfect for outdoor and mountain activities. What makes iON different from your ordinary mountain goggles is its HD feature and GPS viewfinder.

iON’s camera, which is located inside the goggles, is a 1080p True HD with 8 megapixels feature. It has a 170 degrees wide angle lens and can adjust automatically for light levels. It also has an infinity focus and can run for 6 hours of use through its rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.
Zeal Optics uses OPTIMUM lens, which are anti-fog, high density and impact resistant, for a durable performance and high quality video results of the iON camera. The lens is 100% protected from UVA and UVB rays of the sun and integrated with a metal mirroring for added protection.
The HD videos and photos captured can be stored in the goggles through its micro SD slot, and can be transferred later to a computer via a USB connector. The downloadable software designed for the iON allows the user to adjust camera settings.
The GPS viewfinder of the iON can help the user track altitude, speed, GPS and temperature of the surroundings. Further, this feature can be integrated through your smartphone via Bluetooth.
The Zeal Optics iON is for mountaineers who want to capture their moments in HD videos and photos and share them with online social network friends. The availability date for these neat goggles is not yet announced, but the price is pegged at $399.
